A pretty awesome update to the Zelda collection happened just today. After a hard day of working in the photoshop mines I arrived home to find my Zelda dream package stuffed into my mailbox. Both of the Zelda Famicom Disk System games, both in really good shape, both CIB. I got a hell of a deal on these, too. Can you believe it was a $30 BIN for both. That’s right, not $30 each, but $30 for both.
To be completely honest, I was half expecting these to not show up at all. But they did, in just 7 days, and all the way from the Netherlands no less. I also was antisipating that in the event they did show up, that they would be either bitched disks or have Vollyball or some other less-than-thrilling game written over the original disks.
I guess I was wrong. And that also means that I got an amazing deal- definitely the best deal I have ever gotten off of Ebay.
When I started this whole endeavor I put my local video game shop on the alert. This past week I got an email saying they had one of the Zelda games I was looking for come in. I am now the owner (for the second time) of the Ocarina of Time Collector’s Edition. The copy that had that I ended up buying is CIB, and even though it’s not in the best shape, I think I can live with for now.
